Massimo Bottini, the architect behind this lovingly restored building, has brought the structure back to its original splendor and nobility, recreating an atmosphere of the past and conserving all of the original stonework, barrel vaulted ceilings, period fixtures, iron balconies, and even the wonderful tufaceous grottoes.

The finished restoration work glows with the careful labor of human hands, the use of traditional techniques and natural materials. And although it may have progressed quickly at times, more often than not the work proceeded unhurried, with due respect to the age and history of the materials and the structure.

Here, right beside this medieval town of Santarcangelo, "Il Villino Hotel" rises into view, surrounded by rolling lawns and a garden filled with flora and crowned by a unique fountain.

Each room takes its name from the birds that once inhabited the garden,
so that there is the Pettirosso (Redbird room), the Cardellino (the Cardinal room),
the Passerotto (the Swallow room), the Pavone (the Peacock room) and so forth.

Twelve rooms have been created from the interior of the old residence, each one unique, each with its own particular style.

Cozy spaces that have been carefully studied down to the smallest details, some interiors also include a loft which turns a simple room into an elegant suite.
